Additional guidelines for parent/club conduct at Palacios Futbol Club (PFC) are as follows:

1. Set the right example for your child. Refrain from addressing the referee, opposing team's players, parents, or coaches in a negative, aggressive, or confrontational manner. Remember that your child is watching your behavior and is likely to imitate you, especially in stressful situations.
2. Avoid coaching your child during games. It is important for players to remain focused on the moment and follow the instructions given by the team's coach. Providing additional direction as a parent can be confusing, frustrating, and overwhelming for the player. During games, players should fully concentrate on the coach's guidance for the team's success.
3. Regardless of the outcome, be supportive of the team and coaching staff. Recognize that your coach is fully committed and dedicated to the development of your child and the team. Whether the team wins or loses, they need your support to achieve both individual and team goals.

By adhering to these guidelines, you can contribute to a positive and supportive environment for your child, the team, and the coaching staff at PFC.

 In youth sports, it's important to separate your child's athletic development from the emotions that can surface during game time. We understand that tournaments and league games can be intense, and sometimes, immediate reactions can be driven more by heat-of-the-moment feelings rather than considered thought.

To ensure that we maintain a positive and supportive environment for our athletes, PFC has adopted the “24 Hour Rule”. This rule simply states that coaches will not discuss a game, or a situation that occurred in a game, until at least 24 hours after the tournament or league games have concluded.

The purpose of this rule is to provide everyone - coaches, athletes, and parents alike - with a 'cooling off' period. It allows us all to reflect on the events of the game with a clearer mind and perspective, ensuring that any subsequent discussions are constructive, thoughtful, and beneficial to our athletes' development.
